  • Is there anything I cannot put in the dumpster?

Yes! Adhering to the following waste guidelines allows us to be good stewards of our dumpster rental resources and properly dispose of all waste and debris. We appreciate your cooperation!
Things to Put in the Dumpster:
    Household Items & Waste
    Paper/Plastics/Glass
    Furniture
    Most Electronic Devices
    Construction and Remodeling Debris
Heavy Materials (may require advance approval)
Shingles (must be clean and not mixed with other material)
    Bricks and Soil
Yard Waste (must be placed in a separate container; a $200 fee applies if yard waste is combined with other debris.)
Things NOT to Put in the Dumpster:
    Appliances
    Propane Tanks
    Car or Tractor Tires
    Car Batteries
    Paint or Paint Cans
    Chemicals (including Freon)
    Solvents of Any Kind
    Oil Tans or Oil Drums

  • Can you haul concrete?

Yes, our dumpster rentals are capable of hauling concrete from smaller projects, such as a patio or front porch.
  • How full can I fill the dumpster?

All items must be level with or below the top of the dumpster rental and secured for safe transport on the highway. A fee of $80 per ton will apply if the dumpster exceeds its weight limit.
  • How do I load the dumpster?

Our small dumpster rentals feature conveniently placed barn doors that will face your home for easy walk-in style loading, so you don't have to worry about lifting heavy objects over your head.
  • What size dumpster should I order?

Cubic yards may not be everyone's favorite school topic, so here's a helpful analogy: a single standard washing machine is about 1 cubic yard. Therefore, we recommend the following for our roll off dumpster rentals:
6 Cubic Yard: good for decluttering a small garage or basement (about the size of a small car)
10 Cubic Yard: for an average kitchen or bathroom demolition (like a crossover vehicle)
13 Cubic Yard: for multiple home improvement projects (like an SUV)
16 Cubic Yard: 2-car garage clean-out or full basement (like a minivan)
20 Cubic Yard: for large home projects or multiple rooms (the big one)
To maximize space, we recommend breaking down materials so every square inch is utilized.

  • How long can I keep the dumpster rental?

Your dumpster rental is for seven days. If you finish early, just let us know, and we’ll pick it up. Need more time? Call or email us at Small Haul Containers at least two days before your scheduled pickup to extend the rental at a discounted daily rate.
  • Will a dumpster fit in my driveway?

Yes! Unlike some competitors, Small Haul Containers ensures safe and clean drop off and pickup in your driveway. Our largest roll off dumpster rental still fits inside a standard parking space.
  • How soon can I get the container?

We offer same-day delivery within our service area for our small dumpster rentals.
  • Do you deliver dumpsters to my city?

We service Overland Park, Stilwell, Spring Hill, Olathe, Shawnee, Prairie Village, Leawood, Lenexa, Louisburg, South Kansas City, Lee's Summit, Raymore, Belton, and Grandview. Outside our service area? We can deliver your dumpster rental for a minimum $50 fee.
  • Can you haul yard waste?

Yes, but you must have a separate dumpster rental dedicated to yard waste. A $75 fee applies if yard waste is mixed with household or remodeling debris.
